As part of our ongoing commitment to staff development, Rubicon Heritage is sponsoring Rachel Morgan to undertake a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership. Rachel is one of the Project Officers in our Cardiff office and has recently enrolled in the Leadership and Management programme run by Construction Futures Wales.

This course is jointly accredited by Cardiff Metropolitan University and the Charted Management Institute, which is specifically tailored for the construction industry with a view to creating proficient leaders within the wide construction related sector. The ultimate goal of the Construction Futures Wales course is to  enhance sustainable businesses development, and Rachel is aiming to produce a 3-year growth strategy for Rubicon.
For Rubicon this is a long-term commitment to expanding our project management capacity within our Cardiff office. The 10-month certificate programme is divided into a series of workshops and masterclasses to encourage participants to develop their own style of leadership and introduce innovative thinking within management strategies. The initial workshop centred around ideas of leadership and team building, with inspirational sessions given by the course instructors and other leading corporate development experts. Future workshops will include sessions on project management and innovation, sustainable construction and building information modelling. Training also includes individual executive coaching sessions aimed at developing Rachel’s leadership style based on her personal strengths.

Other people on the course have come from a wide variety of businesses across the sector, and part of the strengths of previous years has been to create long-lived networking opportunities between participants. Rachel is looking forward to broadening her skills within this dynamic and challenging environment and being able to contribute further to the considerable growth Rubicon Heritage has seen in its market share over the past few years
