QUALITY POLICY STATEMENT

Rubicon Archaeology is a leading archaeological and heritage service provider in Ireland, the UK and Germany. We provide complete services from consultancy and excavation to site reports, publication and community engagement. We possess the technology, resource capability and capacity to provide full programme and project management.

Established in 2000, we use our experience and expertise to guide clients through every stage of a project, from consultancy to completion. We combine an in-depth understanding of archaeology with practical experience in major construction and infrastructure projects. Our core objective is to ensure projects are delivered on time, safely, and to specification. Tailored solutions and expertise ensure that archaeological risks are identified and managed for the successful delivery of projects. Our leading archaeological teams are responsible for archaeological works on some of Ireland’s most prestigious developments. Our unique systems of work and end-to-end process control ensure we consistently deliver the most efficient, cost-effective solutions that conform to industry standards and all legislative requirements while conserving the site's past for future generations.

Quality at Rubicon relies on three core factors: skilled people with strong attention to detail; high-quality technology; and robust processes. This policy is upheld by our team of highly experienced programme and project managers, supported by skilled staff, and through strict adherence to industry standards, current legislation and written specifications agreed in advance with the client and any relevant statutory consultees.

In support of this policy, Rubicon is committed to a process of continual improvement in all aspects of service provision. This is evident through our membership of FAME, CIfA, CHAS, and IAI). Rubicon is a Registered Organisation (RO 48) with CIfA and and the German equivalent (Gütezeichen für Archäologie), and as such, we are independently audited for quality on a biannual basis. In addition, we are compliant with the Construction Regulations and National Monuments/Heritage legislation in all operational jurisdictions. We are also certified by external audit to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Standard for Quality Management, the ISO 14001:2015 Standard for Environmental Management, and the ISO 45001:2018 Standard for Occupational Health & Safety Management.

This policy is realised through constant feedback and liaison with clients, through long term mutually beneficial relationships with specialist providers and through strict adherence and proactive continuous improvement of our integrated quality management system.
