Job DescripionWe are looking for an Environmental Archaeologist specialising in archaeobotanics at project officer or supervisor level, to join our post-excavation department in our Cardiff office. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise our environmental processing teams and contribute to a range of post-excavation tasks. They should have demonstrable experience of successfully supervising staff and be reliable, flexible, driven and innovative, with excellent communication skills.
Minimum Requirements
CIFA membership is highly desirable
AEA membership is welcomed
Relevant qualification
Report writing
Publication Record is also desirable
Abilities Required
Experience with collecting and processing archaeobotanical samples
Experience sorting archaeobotanical samples and identifying environmental material
Experience of leading and participating in the archaeological post-excavation process
High level of organisational skills
Production of basic descriptive archaeobotanical reports based on macro-remains assemblages
Knowledge to provide guidance to field teams on sampling strategy
Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance
Varied archaeological experience
Good knowledge of British archaeology
Knowledge of Health & Safety considerations pertaining to archaeology
Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
Current UK driving licence preferred

Salary: £29,622.49 to £36,941.84 (depending on experience)
