Job DescripionWe are looking for an Environmental Archaeologist specialising in archaeobotanics at project officer or supervisor level, to join our post-excavation department in our Cardiff office. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise our environmental processing teams and contribute to a range of post-excavation tasks. They should have demonstrable experience of successfully supervising staff and be reliable, flexible, driven and innovative, with excellent communication skills.
Minimum Requirements▪CIFA membership is highly desirable

Abilities Required▪Experience with collecting and processing archaeobotanical samples
▪Experience sorting archaeobotanical samples and identifying environmental material
▪Experience of leading and participating in the archaeological post-excavation process
▪High level of organisational skills
▪Production of basic descriptive archaeobotanical reports based on macro-remains assemblages
▪Knowledge to provide guidance to field teams on sampling strategy
▪Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance
▪Varied archaeological experience
▪Good knowledge of British archaeology
▪Knowledge of Health & Safety considerations pertaining to archaeology
▪Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
▪Current UK driving licence preferred

Salary: £29,622.49 to £36,941.84 (depending on experience)
