Payroll Officer

Job DescripionThe Payroll Officer needs to be detail-oriented and proactive to manage and deliver accurate,
timely payroll services across the UK, Ireland, and Germany. This role is responsible for ensuring
compliance with local legislation, maintaining payroll integrity, and acting as a key point of
contact for payroll-related queries.
You will work closely with HR, Finance, and external providers to ensure seamless payroll
operations across multiple jurisdictions. The role requires strong attention to detail,
confidentiality, and organisational skills.
Summary of essential job functions▪Process end-to-end payroll for employees across the UK, Ireland, and Germany
▪Ensure payrolls are delivered accurately and on time, in line with country-specific deadlines
▪Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, including tax, social security, and statutory payments in each country
▪Liaise with external payroll providers
▪Ensure accurate calculation and processing of: PAYE, National Insurance and pension (UK) PAYE/PRSI, Pension and medical insurance (Ireland),Wage tax and social security contributions (Germany
▪Administer statutory payments such as sick pay, maternity/paternity pay, and holiday pay
▪Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
▪Reconcile payroll reports and ensure alignment with finance records
▪Prepare and submit required filings and reports to relevant authorities
▪Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
▪Support audits by providing payroll data and documentation
▪Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards in line with GDPR
▪General administrative duties including managing emails and phone queries related to payroll
▪Overseeing employee expense claims once authorised by project managers
▪Supplying and updating payroll related reporting and information
▪Completing payroll-related documentation, including Department of Social Protection forms, mortgage applications and employment confirmations
▪Maintaining employee cost to company rates and updating teh project mangement system with changes timeously
▪Supporting HR and Finance with payroll analysis and ad-hoc reporting
Minimum Requirements▪Ability to meet strict payroll deadlines in a fast-paced environment

▪Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Abilities Required▪Knowledge of German payroll processes and coordination with Steuerberater (tax advisors)
▪Experience in a fast-paced or multi-entity environment
▪CIPP / IPASS qualification or equivalent
