It is with great pleasure that we launch the second volume of our eBook concerning the exciting discoveries at Five Mile Lane.

This has been an amazing project, spanning many years of hard word work by our dedicated staff and contributors. We are extremely proud to see it brought to fulfilment.​

​​The A4226 Five Mile Lane Improvements Scheme was funded by Welsh Government and delivered by the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

In 2022 we shared the initial results of our excavation work in the form of an accessible eBook (Volume 1) and interactive StoryMap.

There followed an intense period of post-excavation analysis and academic research. The results of all this work culminated with the launch of the final publication “A Journey Through 6000 Years of History: Archaeological Investigations Along the A4226 Five Mile Lane Improvement Scheme” in September 2024. The event was a great success and a huge achievement for all involved.

Now, we are pleased to launch our second eBook to the public – completely free - with more fascinating details of the post-excavation findings and accompanying illustrations to reach a wider audience.
