Rubicon Heritage Services Ltd are delighted to announce their appointment by Sisk Steconfer Joint Venture Utilities Limited as the archaeological contractors for the Infrastructure Works contract of the Luas Cross City Scheme.

The Cross City Project is managed by Transport Infrastructure Ireland and involves the construction of a 5.6km long corridor from the Luas Green Line terminus at St. Stephen’s Green West to the Iarnród Éireann Broombridge Station on the Maynooth railway line.
Rubicon have unrivalled experience with the management and delivery of archaeological services associated with light rail infrastructure in urban settings, having previously worked with GMC Utilities Group on behalf of the Railway Procurement Agency on the Utility Works for the Cross City Scheme. The company is the country’s largest archaeological firm, with offices throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom. They specialize in the delivery of archaeological services for large-scale infrastructural projects, having excavated more than 500 sites on road and rail projects in Ireland, covering in excess of 300 km of new routes.
