In a continuation of our policy of making reports and publications freely available, we are delighted to share our recently completed ebook, A guide to the excavations at Love Lodge Farm, Ffairfach, Carmarthenshire, which we undertook in partnership with AB Heritage.
The excavations were carried out on behalf of Carmarthenshire County Council in 2014 as part of the Ysgol Bro Dinefwr development, revealing an archaeological landscape that charted the story of people’s lives in this part of Wales across 7000 years. The text was prepared by Stephen Hourihan, Patricia Long and Damian Shiels and edited by Hannah Simpson and Dan Dodds, with illustrations prepared by Jonathan Millar and Hannah Sims. The publication is divided into six chapters, arranged as follows:
Chapter 1 Ffairfach’s early inhabitants
Chapter 2 Life and death in the Bronze Age
Chapter 3 The Iron Age
Chapter 4 The Romans
Chapter 5 Form the medieval to the modern
Chapter 6 Conclusions
Feel free to read the ebook online or download it for your own use. You can do so by clicking on the link or image below:
