Archaeology in Action this week at Bridgend Chapel, Edinburgh
Rubicon Heritage are currently working with The Greater Liberton Heritage Project on an Edinburgh City Council supported and HLF funded quest to discover the remains of the Royal Chapel at Bridgend, Edinburgh, which is thought to date to at least the 16th century.
Excavations have been ongoing this week and have turned up some exciting evidence. If you would like to find out more, the site will be open to the public this Thursday (tomorrow) between 2.30 pm and 4 pm- if you are in the area and would like to see the archaeology in action, drop by and say hello. The site is located across from the entrance to Inch Park on Old Dalkeith Road, near Cameron Toll beside the Bridgend Community Allotments. You will spot our bright yellow portacabin from the road!
