HEALTH AND SAFETY FIRST

Health and Safety Statement 

Rubicon Archaeology is committed to taking all reasonable steps to ensure our business and its representatives comply with relevant Health and Safety legislation. We strive to maintain excellence in health and safety matters and, in this respect, employees and staff members are encouraged to identify hazards and reduce the risk that may exist during work activities. We prepare site-specific health and safety risk assessments and plans for all our projects. All Rubicon staff hold valid Safe Passes and have Manual Handling training.
Rubicon Archaeology considers the maintenance of a positive Health and Safety culture to be an important part of the way in which we conduct out business and we acknowledge that, as a business, we have a responsibility to our employees and other staff members, clients, suppliers and other stakeholders in relation to Health and Safety matters.
Rubicon Archaeology is committed to:
  • Maintaining the health and safety of all our workforce and other staff members including agents and consultants (working from our premises or from other locations) and all who visit our premises.
  • Providing adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities.
  • Consulting with our employees, staff members and other stakeholders on matters affecting their health and safety.
  • Providing and maintaining safe equipment.
  • Ensuring safe handling and use of substances.
  • Ensuring all staff members are competent to undertake their tasks and provided with adequate training.
  • Ensuring that work done by or on behalf of our business does not adversely affect the health and safety of any contactors or members of the public.
  • Preventing accidents and cases of work-related ill health.
  • Maintaining safe and healthy working conditions; and
  • Having a mechanism in place for the ongoing review of health and safety within the business.
